SPCA: Malnourished Dog Left To Fend For Itself In Philly Lot

PHILADELPHIA -

Investigators with the PSPCA are searching for the people who know more about a dog that was abandoned in a used car lot last week.

The SPCA says the dog was found Sunday in a lot on the 6000 block of N. Broad Street in the city's West Oak Lane neighborhood.

The dog was described as being very skinny at the time he was found by SPCA officers.

SPCA investigators believe someone cut a hole in the fence surrounding the lot after the owner of the lot claimed the dog did not belong to him.

The dog, a mixed-breed, did not have a collar or any other form of identification and was not micro-chipped.

The SPCA brought the dog to a nearby shelter where he is being cared for.

Anyone with information about the dog is asked to call the PSPCA's Anti-Cruelty hotline at 1-866-601-SPCA. The SPCA says tips can be left anonymously.

An armed deli robbery is caught on camera. Two brazen gunmen held up the store owner with the man's kids right nearby. It's scary enough having armed gunmen storm your business.
