Dennis Codrington Jr. is one of three men who helped save the life of a man who fell onto subway tracks in a Manhattan station.

A man who may have been intoxicated fell off the platform at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

A man jumped in to try and pull the man to safety but couldn't move him far enough.

That's when Codrington Jr. jumped in and was followed by a friend.

The trio were able to push the man to the platform wall where people on the platform helped pull all of them, one by one, to safety.

"It's kind of scary considering I use the train a lot. I'm just grateful there were a lot of people on the tracks to help us out.  That could have been me," said Codrington.

The personal trainer turned 24 on Tuesday.

His actions were a life-changing moment.

"I want to push forward with what I want to do in my career. Hopefully one day I can open up my own gym," said Codrington.
