Cops: man stabbed, robbed after sex offer

Posted: Updated:

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Police in Jersey City are searching for two men they say stabbed and robbed a man who had invited them over for sex.

The Jersey Journal reports that the man told police one of the men had called him on Sunday and proposed a sexual encounter. The man told police that after he invited the two men over, one pulled out a gun and the other stabbed him in the abdomen three times with a pocket knife.

The 37-year-old Jersey City resident told police that a cell phone and about $400 were taken from his home. The newspaper says police reports show the alleged victim then became uncooperative with authorities.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
