Do you know today's drug slang?

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

With each generation of young people comes new drug slang. But in this case, what you don't know can hurt your child. Not only are the names new to parents, but the drugs they represent are new too.

It's tough to keep up, but you have to if you want to know what the kids are up to. Let's start with "Molly."  It sounds innocent enough, but in a recent FOX 5 special report, parents learned that the phrase "meet Molly" refers to a purer form of the drug ecstasy. The term has been used in music videos, even Madonna recently mentioned it at a concert.

What does the word "cheese" refer to? It's the code name for a Tylenol and heroin combination. It's a cheap $2 high.  Blueberries are what the kids call Adderall.  It's a prescription drug for ADHS but girls use it for weight loss.

Here are some other drugs that might be sitting in your medicine cabinet: Ambien is for sleeping, and kids call it Tic Tacs. Temazepam is an insomnia drug, and that's what they call "eggs." If you hear them talking about getting some French fries, they might really want your Xanax.

They entire list is scary but one is particularly frightening – meth. So many people do it because it's cheap and easy to get.  The downfall for would-be users is the chemical taste. They've fixed that by making it with a fruity flavor, and calling it strawberry quick.

Here's the I-Team Drug Slang Cheat Sheet:

Molly -- Purer form of Ecstasy
Cheese -- Tylenol and Heroin Combination
Blueberries -- Prescription ADHD drug Adderall
Tic Tacs -- Sleep Aid Ambien
Eggs -- Insomnia Drug Temazepam
French Fries -- Prescription Drug Xanax
Strawberry Quick -- Fruity-Flavored Meth
Skittles -- Over-the-Counter Cough Syrup Ingredient Dextromethorphan
Butter Sandwich -- Cocaine
Cornbread -- Crack Cocaine
