ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Imagine waking up, ordering breakfast and placing a bet all from the comfort of your hotel bed.

The Borgata unveiled mobile betting for guests of the hotel and casino Monday in a move that makes it the first hotel and casino in the country to offer the service.

A Borgata spokesman tells FOX 29 the system works through your hotel television. Once a guest purchases chips, a certain amount of money can be added to what the hotel calls an "e-wallet" which is then loaded onto your TV.

Guests can play the slots or video poker via a remote that's similar to one you would use for your television.

The hotel says the system will be tried out for 90 days. After that period, the Borgata plans to examine the system to see what has worked and what hasn't.

The hotel says the system uses a password and PIN combination, among other things, that will prevent minors from being able to play.
