Fresh off his merger announcement, Doug Parker, CEO of US Airways, talked one-on-one with FOX 10's Troy Hayden.
Parker says the airlines' merger will actually help customers by creating a bigger rival to United and Delta.
While most airline mergers have resulted in fewer flights, Doug Parker says this one will be different. US Airways and American overlap on just 12 of their routes.
Troy: "How many of those jobs are going to be around in 5 years?" Parker: "Oh, my guess is the vast majority of jobs that are here will be here, I hope it will be even more."
