PHILADELPHIA -

The attorney for the two men who are accused of stealing a dog says his clients have done nothing wrong.

Investigators say 37-year-old Russell Harper and 44-year-old Robert Lewis, are now facing charges after a man claims they threatened him into giving up his dog.

The two are part of an organization called Justice Rescue. According to their website, the organization takes animals from the hands of their abusers.

In the case of the dog, their attorney Jack J. Mcmahon, tells FOX 29 they received a complaint over the dog's welfare and went to check out the situation.

Mcmahon says the owner handed the dog over voluntarily and says his clients have his signature, his information and a copy of his driver's license to prove it.
