TEMPE, Ariz. -
Tempe Police have arrested three men who they say robbed a Discount Appliance store during which one of the employees was shot.
The armed men entered the store on January 19 and attempted to rob the business, located at 2424 W. University Drive. During the robbery, one of the suspects shot the manager.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. He is now recovering from his wounds.
After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene without taking anything. A tip has since led to their arrests.
44-year-old Gary Beckstead, 32-year-old Charles Eaton, and 33-year-old Christopher Ridgway have been taken into custody on armed robbery charges.
Police say Eaton is also facing charges of assault and kidnapping while Beckstead has been booked on counts of aggravated assault and kidnapping.
