What Your Valentine's Roses Really Mean

Do yellow flowers on Valentine's Day mean he just wants to be friends?

FOX 29's Jennaphr Frederick went to Robertson's Flowers in Chestnut Hill on their busiest day of the year to find out.

Behind the obviously popular red and pink roses, peach and yellow are the third favorite choice to give to your special someone. The underrated yellow flowers can represent joy, but be careful if you're gifting these buds to someone who knows flowers. Robertson's shop owner says yellow roses really symbolize jealousy.

Pink roses actually symbolize friendship, and whites represent purity.

Whichever color you get this week, be sure to make you blooms last by keeping them away from windows and heat sources. Cut the stems short so water can easily reach the petals.

For the full story, watch Jenn explore the flower shop in the video above.
