Pa. State Trooper Involved In Chester County Crash

NEW LONDON, Pa. -

A Pa. state trooper was involved in an early morning car accident in Chester County.

A viewer tweeted us this photo. The state trooper lost control of his car and slammed into a tree.

This happened just before six o'clock this morning between Routes 896 and 796. That's in New London Township.

The trooper was temporarily trapped in the car, but not seriously injured.

    A blustery and chilly start to the holiday weekend! It stays windy tonight but clouds slowly clear out as low pressure towards our north departs.

    We should see much more sunshine Sunday with a little less wind and warmer high temperatures around 70 degrees.

    Back to normal by Memorial Day with high temps in the mid 70s -- it will be a beautiful holiday!
