Sky Harbor used to be the only airport in the valley where you could grab a non-stop flight to Hawaii. But that's not the case anymore.
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport now has flights to Honolulu on the popular low cost airline Allegiant Air.
Anna Kempt is Hawaii-bound.
"Honolulu," she says. "I love the price, I love everything about it. It's close to home. I live in Mesa and I don't have to go to Phoenix to go fly away anymore."
You can fly from Mesa-Gateway to Honolulu two times a week for as low as $120 one way -- but it's the additional fees on Allegiant that can quickly add up for things like baggage.
"I live two minutes away and it's straight through," says traveler Heather Roberts.
$120 one way is an introductory rate, only for a limited time. Soon, the round trip flight on Allegiant will cost you about $400 bucks, not including additional fees.
"The price is really good, really excellent," says Patty Jenkins.
Travelers are excited about the move. It beats the nearly $800 or more for a flight to Hawaii on another airline out of Sky Harbor.
Allegiant Air has become widely popular for its very inexpensive flights to places like San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Now, to Honolulu, exotic and inexpensive.
