Cobb Co. women star in Lifetime's Double Divas

KENNESAW, Ga. -

Molly Hopkins and Cynthia Richards are two Cobb County women who stepped out on faith a few years ago to launch their own business. Little did they know that business, Livi-Rae Lingerie in Kennesaw, would launch them onto national television.

The two, and their store, are featured in a Lifetime's reality show, Double Divas.

"We can get down with country women, African-American women, older women. Everybody comes together here as a woman," said Hopkins.

The journey from business owner to TV show wasn't easy. The two met working in a high end lingerie store in Buckhead.

"We realized we wanted to help the same kind of people, people that were getting looked over, who were waiting for hours because nobody really wanted to take them," said Richards.

Seven years ago, the two branched out on their own, using credit cards and a prayer.

"It's crazy because we had four little dressing rooms," said Hopkins.

'No bust big or small. We fit ‘em all,' is their mantra.

"Whether you are a man, whether you are handicapped, whether you've had a mastectomy, they come here because we are not going to judge you," said Richards.

The two ended up on TV after sending in a homemade video. It's easy to see why Molly and Cynthia are an attractive combination for reality TV. They talk over each other, keeping things raw and real.

"We read some blogs. Somebody said that's the worst country accent I've ever heard," said Richards.

How has life changed for the two down to earth Cobb County women since becoming celebrities?

"I don't think it's changed my life. Everybody around here already knew my truck. I've been riding around with bras and stuff on it for a long time," Richards said.

When their run at fame comes to an end, the two say they'll keep doing what they set out to do in the beginning -- help anybody who walks through their door.

"When that curtain closes, you feel vulnerable but you leave victorious," said Hopkins.
