Woman crossing street hit by truck

A woman was hit by a truck Wednesday night while trying to cross the street, near 125th Ave and Lower Buckeye.

Witnesses say the 27-year-old woman tried running across the road to beat the truck, but didn't make it.

She was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital with life-threatening charges, according to MCSO Sgt. Brandon Jones.

It doesn't appear that the driver will face any charges.
