NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Two young men fell through the ice and were then pulled from the Pond in Central Park Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The FDNY said that a firefighter in a wetsuit went into the water to rescue the two men.  Rescuers used portable ladders, ropes, and a life ring to pull them out, the AP reported.

The firefighter and another responder as well as the men who fell through the ice were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell, police said.

The men, whose ages is not clear, were treated for exposure, and the responders were taken in for observation, officials said.

All four are expected to be okay.

The Pond is a 3.8-acre lake in the southeast corner of the park.
