LIVONIA, Mich. (WJBK) -- Authorities are on the lookout for a 21-year-old parole absconder who they say cut off his tether at ditched it at a Livonia gas station.

The Michigan Department of Corrections says Anthony Mitchell was arrested in Ingham County in 2012 for carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing justice. He was under supervision in Shiawassee County until he stopped reporting to his probation officer. He was listed as an absconder on Jan. 24.

Police say their is a warrant for Mitchell's arrest.
