Police say a mother, father and their two young children were found dead at a Johns Creek apartment complex on Monday in what they say appears to be a murder-suicide.
According to Johns Creek Police Department spokesperson Rosemary Taylor, the bodies were found in an apartment at the Aylebury Farms complex located on Abbotts Bridge Road. Investigators were called to the scene by one of the mother's coworkers who said she never made it to work on Monday morning.
Police say when they entered the three-level apartment, they found the bodies of the couple and their two young boys, ages 12 and 5. They say no one in complex heard any gunshots.
On Tuesday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victims as Sindiver Grover, 52; his wife Damanjit Kaur-Grover, 47; Gurtej Grover, 5; and Fartaj Grover, 12.
Neighbors say the father was an IT executive and the mother was a healthcare professional, and that they were shocked by the discovery. Some told FOX 5 they had never had a problem with the family.
Police say this marks the first homicides in Johns Creek since it was incorporated in 2006.
