ATLANTA -
The snow is gone, but the road hazard remains overnight into Monday morning as much of the melted snow is expected to refreeze on roadways.
School districts in Fannin, Towns, and Union counties tell FOX 5 News
they plan to delay the start of school for two hours on Monday as a

Saturday's snow storm in north Georgia took many by surprise. Forecasts on Friday and Saturday morning called for anywhere between flurries and a half inch of snow on the ground, not the three to five inches north Georgia actually got.
Reports of snow accumulation poured into the FOX 5 Storm Center Saturday as a system moved through. It appears the deepest snowfall was about 8 miles north of Ellijay.
The Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisories which covered over a dozen counties in north Georgia through Sunday have been allowed to expire.
FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Jeff Hill says that a few flurries may pop up overnight in Monday morning, but not to the amount seen Saturday. The bigger issues is black ice. The sunny skies helped to melt the snow and that is expected to refreeze overnight with the temperatures dipping below freezing.
Crews for the Georgia Department of Transportation, which were busy during the late night hours Saturday and early morning hours on Sunday, will be monitoring the situation overnight into Monday. They say they will hit patches of ice as needed, but don't expect to be out in force as the previous night.
