The New York Urban Debate League is one of three community organizations from New York to receive the nation's highest education honors.

Bronx student Star Arroyo, 15, had the opportunity to speak at the White House as part of the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program. Out of 400 applicants nationwide 12 organizations were honored with scholarships -- three were from New York.

The Debate League received a $10,000 grant. 

In honor of their achievement the students received a mentoring visit two Fox executives who participated in a teacher for a day program: Vincent Cordero, the executive vice president and general manager of FOX Deportes, and Francisco Cortes, the director of FOXNewsLatino.com.

Cordero and Cortes spoke with the students and offered guidance.

The teens are raising awareness so other New York City kids can take also take advantage of the same opportunities.
