3 guns seized from gang member`s Back of Yards home

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Three loaded guns were seized at a gang members' home in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood Thursday, police said.
Deering District tactical police officers seized three guns while executing a search warrant at 2:22 p.m. at a home in the 4900 block of South Laflin Street, police said.
Police found three guns -- a revolver as well as 45-caliber and 9-mm semiautomatics.
James Montgomery, 62, of the 4900 block of South Laflin Street, was charged with three felony counts of unlawful use of weapon by a felon, police said.
"Time and time again, we see that when firearms end up in the wrong hands, devastating consequences result," said Deering District Commander Joseph Gorman. "Deering District officers should be commended for their work in this investigation."
Montgomery, a convicted felon and gang member, is expected Friday in bond court.
