Flagstaff Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a Del Taco restaurant in Flagstaff.
Early Wednesday morning, police received a 911 call for a robbery that had just occurred at Del Taco.
Officers arrived but the suspect had gotten away. They learned that the suspect entered the business through the front door and approached the counter. An employee came up to take his order, but the suspect extended his arm, which was inside a manila envelope, and claimed he had a gun.
The suspect demanded cash from the register, but the employee turned and fled to the back of the store.
He then demanded cash from a second employee, who also ran to the back.
He is described as a white male in his 20s, wearing green board shorts, low cut shoes with no socks, and a big dark puffy jacket. A blue sedan was seen leaving the parking lot at a high rate of speed.
