The serial salon robber has reportedly struck again at a busy shop in the western suburbs.
Broadview police won't confirm it, but employees at this Hair Cuttery say the man who robbed this salon was the same person who was captured on video in another robbery in Skokie.
Police say at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday a man walked into the Hair Cuttery, pulled a handgun and demanded money.
An employee told FOX 32's Craig Wall that the man made threats, but she did not give details. The robber in this case was a white male, around 30-35 years old, 5'7'' to 6' tall, weighing 200-230 pounds.
It's a similar description to a serial salon bandit who police believe may be the responsible for numerous other robberies. In one case in Skokie, the man's gun was clearly visible in surveillance video that captured the holdup.
Police suspect the same man may have hit at least three salons in Chicago and another six or more in the suburbs.
No one with the store would talk on camera, but a customer said it was disturbing to hear that her regular salon had become the latest victim in this string of hair salon holdups.
"I really feel for them, this is where we get our hair cut we know these people it's got to be terrifying for them," says customer Kara Donoghue. "Someone has to know who this guy is."
In some of the other robberies, the suspect was described as a male white Hispanic. One similar attribute is a red winter jacket the robber has worn before.
