PHILADELPHIA -

Pain in the head? Pain in the neck? There's an app for that, and just about everything else - all part of a new era of healthcare right at your fingertips.

Tech expert Anthony Mongeluzo's iPhone is loaded with health apps, including one that claims to check the level of your stress simply by placing your finger over the phone light and camera lens.

You can download many of these apps for free.

The apps can even serve as great tools for healthcare providers, but some doctors worry patients may take self-diagnosing too far.

FOX 29's Dr. Mike Cirigliano says a health app can't catch everything.

"Sometimes, disease can present in very subtle ways and you might miss something that you might regret later," Dr. Cirigliano said.

You can watch FOX 29 reporter Joyce Evans' story in the video above.
