In essence, that's what the mother of Alysia Thomas and the family's high profile attorney Benjamin Crump told the LA Police Commission Tuesday morning.
It was six months ago today that Alysia dropped her kids off at SW Division with a note to call their grandmother. Instead, police went to Thomas' mothers house to arrest Alysia. The allegation: child endangerment.
During handcuffing and restraining Thomas was reportedly kicked in the groin, and later mysteriously died. The police officers said she was resisting arrest. The arrest and officers are under investigation.
Part of the evidence is the video from the officer's dashcam. The mother, Sandra Thomas, and Crump pleaded before the commission to give it to them so they could see Alysia's final moments. Crump said it's something any parent would want to see.
Thomas told me after the hearing she wants to see it even though she thinks it will be "a nightmare."
The LAPD won't comment except to tell me the police have rights too under the "Police Bill of Rights." And, authorities have a year to conclude their confidential personnel investigation before they have to make anything available.
Thomas family attorneys tell me they were told by the City's Inspector-General that he's seen the video and has turned it over to the U.S. Attorney's office. Since these comments were made during the "public comments" session no action was taken by the Police Commission except to encourage them to speak further to the Inspector-General.
During the meeting Chief Beck listened as Thomas, Crump and others spoke and demanded the video. Afterward he said he would speak to the family privately about "timelines" for possible release of the video. Basically, that's the year-long investigation period and process.

Certain projects, such as adding a well thought-out family room can be a wise investment, as they do add to the value of the home. Other projects, however, allow little opportunity to recover the costs when it's time to sell.
