CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
An employee of the review board that investigates officer-involved shootings for the Chicago Police was charged after he allegedly threatened to kill himself and three co-workers.
Brian Lockhart, 35, was charged with one felony count of threatening a public official, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Lockhart, who was booked into jail on Thursday, is being held on $100,000 bond, according to jail records.
Earlier this week Lockhart, who is employed by the Independent Police Review Authority, allegedly threatened to kill himself and three co-workers, an IPRA official said Saturday evening.
The IPRA official declined to comment further.
Ilana Rosenzweig, chief administrator for the city-run agency, declined to discuss the incident because she said it is "a personnel issue."
Lockhart was arrested sometime earlier this week, police said, but declined to further discuss specifics of the arrest.
IPRA is a city agency independent of the police department that investigates police misconduct, including allegations of excessive force and officer-involved shootings.
Lockhart's next court date is scheduled for Tuesday in Chicago Police Court, according to records.
