Man Arrested For Slashing Car Tires In West Philadelphia

Philadelphia police have arrested a 27 year-old man and charged him with Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Mischief and related offenses in connection with slashing tires in West Philadelphia.

Harry Gaines allegedly slashed the tires of 59 vehicles on the 4700-500 block of Hazel St and the 5300 block of Chancellor Street on January 7.

Police credit their success in identifying Gaines from an "intense" investigation and tips received from anonymous callers.

Gaines was arrested on the 5200 block of Market Street on January 16.
