The highly anticipated return of American Idol brings new faces to the judges table and perhaps some drama?
Country singer Keith Urban, superstar Mariah Carey and rapper Nicki Minaj joined producer Randy Jackson for the first of the two-night season premiere on Wednesday.
There were several tense moments between Carey and Minaj.
Host Ryan Seacrest spoke with Good Day NY on Thursday about the 'drama' and season 12.
Part two of the season premiere of American Idol airs Thursday on FOX 5 at 8 p.m.
