DETROIT (WJBK) -- A 50-year-old man and his dog have died in an overnight house fire on Detroit's west side.

Investigators believe it was an accidental electrical fire.

Fire officials tell FOX 2 the fire broke out in the home on the 6900 block of Auburn St. around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Signs indicate it started in a speaker in the living room, creating smoke that killed the man and his pet as they slept.
