Cops interview Nets' Blatche in connection with sex assault claim

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Andray Blatche of the Brooklyn Nets was interviewed by police along with friends in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a Philadelphia hotel.

He was reportedly in the same suite where an alleged assault took place, but not in the room itself.

No one has been charged.

The Philadelphia police department's Special Victims Unit is investigating the alleged incident at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The report of a possible sex assault at the hotel, located near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, came in overnight.

A 21-year-old woman was taken from the hotel to a hospital around 4 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The Nets confirmed that the investigation involves a member of their team, but General Manager Billy King said the team will have no comment until the investigation is concluded.

The Four Seasons issued a statement saying: "The Philadelphia Police Department responded to a call to Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia early this morning. We are fully cooperating with the police investigation. We would advise all questions be directed to the Philadelphia Police Department."

The Nets are in Philadelphia to play the 76ers on Tuesday night.
