A dramatic ice rescue gone wrong was captured on camera in California.
WRIGHTWOOD, Ca. -
What started out as sledders taking advantage of a frozen lake on Christmas Day turned into a dangerous situation when they fell through the ice in a Wrightwood, California lake.
The first man fell through, then one by one those who tried to rescue him also fell into the frigid waters.
A couple grabbed their camera and rope and tried to throw it at the sledders, while others tossed tubes and tried to pull the men in.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
