Police are trying to find the person who struck an 8-year-old girl Wednesday night in Clayton County sending her to the hospital.
According to a Clayton County Police Department spokesperson, the accident happened near Rock Cut Road and Old Rock Cut Road around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses tell police that a dark-colored Pontiac with a female driver was seen leaving the scene. Police say that vehicle would have moderate front-end damage.
The girl was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston with serious cuts and deep bruises. She is expected to recover.
