Who Will The Eagles Hire To Replace Andy Reid?

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The Eagles on Monday will officially bring an end to the Andy Reid era.

FOX 29's Howard Eskin was the first to report Sunday that Reid was told on Friday that the birds were going in a different direction.

With Andy Reid on the way out, the question now is who will replace him?

Eskin says there are five or six possible candidates that Jeffrey Lurie has interest in.

They include Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien, Atlanta offensive coordinator Dirk Cutter, San Francisco offensive coordinator Greg Roman, Indianapolis interim head coach Bruce Arians, Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, and a real longshot who has been discussed is Josh McDaniels, now the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.

All of these coaches have pro experience except Chip Kelly.

And they can all be interviewed this week except Arians because his team begins the playoffs.

Eskin reported that he's told at least Cutter will be interviewed this week.
