Two Darby firefighters were injured Sunday night while fighting a house fire in Colwyn, Delaware County.  Crews from several fire departments responded to the blaze on the 200 block of Walnut Street.

Officials say one of the firefighters received an electric shock while entering the home after coming into contact with exposed wiring. He was taken to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment.

The other suffered breathing problems and was treated on scene.

Fire officials say the fire started in the first floor of the home and was confined to the rear of the property.  Two people were displaced from the home and are working with the American Red Cross for housing assistance.

A separate family lived in the joining home next door.  They were also displaced due to fire damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
