Restaurant gets you gameday ready, helps local kids organization

Posted: Updated:

It's a college football fan's favorite time of year: bowl season. All of that football watching is going to make you pretty hungry.

Todd Kronebusch with Buffalo Wild Wings shows how to make foods every football fan will cheer for.

His suggestion: black and blue burgers and jerk chicken sandwiches.

Texas Christian University takes on Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe on Saturday. It's the company's first sponsorship of a college bowl game.

In addition to hosting the game, they'll also have a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley at all of its Arizona restaurants on game day.

The Boys & Girls Club will use the money to create and improve flag and tackle football and dance line programs and increase opportunities for kids to participate at Clubs across the country.

Buffalo Wild Wings is committed to raising $600,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2013.

They expect to raise more than $ 1 million over the next two years through sauce and seasoning bottle sales and numerous in-store fundraising activities, like the one on Saturday.

The store surprised nearly 400 kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley with a seat at the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Plus, a TCU fan and a Michigan State fan will compete during the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl half-time to earn a $10,000 donation for the Boys & Girls Club in their school's community.
