PHOENIX -
Over Easy Cafe off Indian School Road is known for its breakfasts.
"This is where it all happens," said owner Brad Maye.
On Christmas, the restaurant is open, but everything is on the house.
"Over Easy is open every day but Christmas -- Christmas we're open, but only for a group of homeless people," said Maye.
Maye opens the restaurant to over 100 homeless people. They're served the traditional Christmas meal, including turkey, ham and green beans.
"I don't do this by myself. I have a wonderful string of volunteers," said Maye.
Maye says people donate food, but they also donate their time to serve the meals.
"We wanted to do something special," said John Peterson. His fiancée Yvette adds, "It's been a very good Christmas for us there. Merry Christmas and God bless. We are very fortunate."
The restaurant has been open for five years on Christmas day.
"Life has been so good to me and we have so many blessings. I've never missed a meal and that's not true for everyone," said Maye.
