46-year-old man dies after crashing into tree

A 46-year-old man died after crashing an SUV into a tree near Ina Road and Avenida De Lisa early Monday morning.

Deputies say Thomas Lorock drove a Jeep Cherokee off the roadway and into a Palo Verde tree.

There were no skid marks or other indictators that Lorock tried to prevent the collision, investigators say.

Lorock was taken to a hospital where he died. Deputies say they don't think alcohol was a factor.
