GLENDALE, Ariz. -
The malls are a busy place this holiday weekend and police are pulling out a special resource to help keep an eye on crowds.
It's becoming a familiar sight in the west valley -- the Glendale Police Department's Sky Watch Tower.
Police set up the tower around the city during large events and the holiday season at busy shopping centers to keep the public safe -- but few know what's inside.
It typically holds one officer using HD and night vision cameras to watching what's going on. The tower is also equipped with a P-A system for crowd control.
On Sunday, the tower was high above the University of Phoenix stadium for the Arizona Cardinals game. On Monday, it will be at the Arrowhead Mall.
