A 19-year-old man was arrested when deputies found a stolen gun, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his truck on Monday.
Deputies were called to help the Tohono O'Odham Police Department after shots were reported in their village.
Anthony Lara allegedly fired shots and then fled in a light colored truck. A driver reported a similar truck that was driving on one of its rims. The caller also said it looked like the driver was "running from someone."
A deputy found the vehicle in a ditch a short time later on Shedd Road, near Chu Chu Road.
As deputies approached the truck, they saw a man look at them and run back inside.
Deputies say they ordered the man out of the vehicle and, after yelling profanities at them, Lara was taken into custody.
According to deputies, Lara admitted to them that he had three guns and marijuana inside of the truck. Lara told deputies he was a "medical marijuana card holder in California."
Deputies found a loaded Glock 17 handgun, Smith and Wesson .38 caliber handgun, a stolen .357 caliber handgun, seven glass jars of hydroponic marijuana and marijuana smoking pipes.
Lara was booked into jail on charges of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm (under the age of 21) in a vehicle.
