MESA, Ariz. -

A teenager was arrested for allegedly robbing two homes near Mesa Drive and 9th Avenue on Wednesday morning.

Police say 18-year-old Andrew Devin Solorzano was caught after a man saw him go into a neighbor's home.

A man called police and told them someone had been in his back yard and broken through one of the back windows of his home.

After officers arrived at the home, a neighbor came over and told the officer he had just seen a suspicious man go into another back yard.

The officer checked the back yard and saw the back door open. While he was waiting for back up, he saw a man walk out the back door carrying items from the home.

Police say the officer took Solorzano into custody and he was arrested after a homeowner confirmed it was a burglary and wanted to prosecute.

Detectives found out Solorzano allegedly stole from two homes in the neighborhood and was booked for residential burglary and trespassing.
