Hearing President Obama and other lawmakers talk about gun control has turned out to be big business for local gun stores.
Call it a run on guns.
Guns Etc. in Chandler says this is the busiest they've been in a long time.
"AR-15 Riot shot guns, AK-47s, lots of ammo, high capacity magazines…"
So busy, in fact, the store has had to open up earlier and stay open later.
"They're on a frenzy buying guns that they perceive may be outlawed," says owner Ron Sega.
The rush started following talk of a possible ban on certain assault weapons, something seriously being considered in the wake of the Connecticut school shooting.
"There's something that's going to happen in the gun industry and for lack of a better word, put a scare into the public."
He's not expecting the crowds to let up any time soon -- not as long as long as talk in D.C. centers on gun restrictions.
"I've been doing this for 25 years seen a lot of politics come and go this is a definite time in our history," Sega says.
