Video Shows Camden Gas Station Attendant Attempt To Fight Off Robber

Surveillance cameras captured a struggle and then a shooting at a Camden gas station that left a 43-year-old attendant injured.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and members of the Camden Police Department are now investigating the shooting, which happened at 6:30 a.m. at the Citgo station on the 1900 block of Admiral Wilson Boulevard.

In the video, two masked men can be seen attempting to hold the attendant. Investigators say one of the men can be seen holding a gun.

The video shows the victim push one of the suspects just before he is shot in the chest.

The suspects took off while the victim ran inside the gas station.

Investigators say he is now in critical but stable condition at Cooper Hospital.

Investigators describe the suspect who is believed to have fired the gun as a man standing 5'7" tall and weighing about 175 pounds. Investigators say he speaks Spanish.

The other suspect is described by investigators as a man standing 5'7" tall and weighing about 135 pounds. Investigators say he looks about 17-years-old.

The gas station shooting was the second of two overnight night shootings in Camden.

Investigators say a 40-year-old man was found sitting in a car on the 900 block of North 24th Street with a gunshot wound to the leg.
