
Kevin SkinnerA 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly choking and suffocating his mother to death in March after being found competent on Monday.
Police say Kevin Skinner admitted to choking and suffocating his mother, Janet Skinner, with a grocery bag in March.
Skinner told police his mother told him he needed to go to the hospital because he had psychological problems. Skinner didn't want to go and when their argument ended when Skinner allegedly killed her.
Police originally booked Skinner into jail on March 3 and he was indicted for first degree murder. He was later found incompetent and was committed to a state hospital.
Doctors say Skinner is now competent. He was arrested and faces charges of first degree murder and kidnapping/apprehension of physical injury.
