In his most revealing statement to date, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder tells Fox 2's Tim Skubick that he is "not inclined to go forward with" the proposed legislation to allow concealed weapons in schools, churches and other public places.
In other words says Skubick, "he is this close to vetoing the bill."
Tune into Fox 2 News tonight at 5pm to see Skubick's full interview with Snyder.
In it Snyder shows some emotion as he recalls his own memory with gun violence. When he was a resident assistant at the University of Michigan he was almost killed by a gun.
A fellow resident assistant was killed in the incident while he was trying to prevent the shooter from doing harm.
Snyder has until December 27th to decide on the concealed weapons bill that was passed by the Michigan Legislature, early Friday morning.
The passing of the bill happened just hours before the mass shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut.
The bill would allow gun owners to carry concealed weapon into churches, schools and stadiums.
