
Daniel Shipley, Denise SmithLake Havasu City Police have arrested a man and woman after serving a drug-related search warrant at their home last week.
Detectives located 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, including a scale and packaging materials. They also found two loaded firearms and prescription drugs not prescribed to either resident.
42-year-old Daniel Shipley was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of a firearm during a drug offense, being a prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
41-year-old Denise Smith was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia (felony) and possession of prescription-only drugs (misdemeanor), and child endangerment.
Police say Smith's minor child had access to the weapons and drug paraphernalia.
Smith was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
