PD trying to ID woman found dead in Avondale

Officers are trying to identify the body of a woman found near 108th Avenue and Indian School Road on Sunday morning.

Police say the body was found between a tire shop and an auto shop by a person walking by the area.

The victim is described as a White or Hispanic woman wearing jogging clothes. Police say they don't know how long the body has been there or how the woman died.

Police are treating this as a homicide but don't know if it was a random act of violence.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen a woman in the area in the last 12 hours to all Avondale police at 623-333-7380 or contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
