Repairs are still be made to John Johnson's Detroit home, well into the darkness. His entire back porch, which used to be enclosed, is gone -- ripped from the house. Fox 2 also has photos that were taken not long after the early Saturday morning crash. They show extensive damage to the home on Trowbridge St.

It's believed an SUV belonging to someone with connections to area fire departments was involved in the crash, driving at a high rate of speed. Sources are telling Fox 2 fire equipment was discovered inside. We talked with one person who was on the scene who didn't want to show his face. He says something shady seemed to be going on. The man involved some believe was the driver of the SUV left with Hamtramck fire fighters, and they were outside of their jurisdiction. They say he appeared to be hiding his face.

Hamtramck fire officials told us they're not able to comment over the weekend. The elderly homeowner is hoping the person responsible for the crash is caught, and forced to pay up, because he doesn't have insurance. Detroit police are still investigating.
