PHOENIX -
A 60-year-old man was shot near Southern and 23rd Avenues on Saturday afternoon.
Police say they found the man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
A witness told officers she was inside her home when she heard a gunshot. She walked out of her home and heard a second gunshot and yelling. She then saw the victim lying on the ground and a Black man run away from the area.
Officers searched the area but were unable to find a suspect.
Police haven't released the victim's name because they haven't told his family yet.
