Police in Delaware are searching for a man who investigators say robbed two 11-year-old boys outside of a Wilmington shopping mall.

The robbery happened Saturday around 3 p.m. outside of the Canby Park Shopping Center.

Police say the two boys were walking down steps that lead from the rear of the shopping center on Bonwood Road when they were approached by a man who showed them a handgun and demanded money.

One of the victims, according to police, gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a black man with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and a baseball cap.

Police ask anyone with information in reference to the robbery to call the Delaware State Police Robbery Unit at Troop 2: 302-834-2630, extension 6. You can also provide a tip to police by texting "DSP" plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
