Clubhouse intruder arrested after brief struggle

Scottsdale Police have arrested a man in a break-in at Gainey Ranch Golf Club.

Early Wednesday morning, golf course security personnel responded to an alarm at the clubhouse and discovered an open door. They found a 30-year-old man inside, who tried to flee.

After a brief struggle, security was able to detain the intruder. Scottsdale Police arrived and took the suspect, identified as Edward Grossi, into custody.

Grossi was booked on one count of third degree burglary. He never got away with any property.
