$50-Million Powerball Winning Ticket Sold In Bucks County

Posted: Updated:

Well, it's a week late for the $587.5 million jackpot, but someone is $50 million richer after buying a Powerball ticket in Bucks County.

The winning ticket from the Dec. 5 drawing was sold at Levittown News & Tobacco, located on the 411 South Oxford Valley Road, in Fairless Hills, according to a Pennsylvania Lottery news release.

The ticket matched the five white balls, 13-17-19-27-38, as well as the red Powerball 12, to win the $50 million annuity.

Or, the winner could opt to take the cash prize, which is worth over $33 million, less a 25-percent federal withholding.

The Levittown store gets a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Lottery officials can't confirm the winner's identity until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated.

If you won, you should sign the back of the ticket, call the lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at lottery headquarters or one of its area offices.

Pennsylvania has sold 16 jackpot-winning tickets since joining Powerball, but this is the first since a group of SEPTA employees won $107.5 million back in April.
