A man who was due in court on attempted murder charges was arrested after barricading himself in a house in Newburgh, New York.

The man, Gosford Lembhard, is the older brother of Michael Lembhard, who was killed in a confrontation with police in March, reported the RecordOnline.com, the website of the Times Herald-Record.

Gosford Lembhard bolted out the window of the house after the 10-hour standoff but was caught as he tried to scale a neighbor's fence, according to the report.

Four other people were in the house.

SkyFoxHD was over the area Wednesday afternoon where several police vehicles could be seen.

Cops arrived at the house after Lembhard did not appear in court Wednesday morning.

Lembhard is accused of firing a gun into a car and a nearby building.
